This year the beginning of Lent coincides with the beginning of Women's History Month, UCC Women's Week, and International Women's Day, offering a timely invitation to consider the feminine aspects of God. Most of us would agree that God is beyond gender, but our language for God and metaphors for God tend to be masculine. How does that shape us and what impact might it have to make room for feminine language and metaphors for God as well?

During Lent we'll let Jesus guide us in an exploration of the divine feminine.

Lent officially begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, but Pastor Jen will introduce the new series, "Under Her Wings: Jesus & The Divine Feminine" on Sunday, March 2nd. During this season, Pastor Jen will lead Sermon Scripture Study (on Zoom) on Tuesday afternoons at 1:30pm (starting March 4). Midweek Sermon Reflections will continue on Wednesday evenings at 7pm (on Zoom) with an added component of contemplative prayer led by Rev. Aaron Bolerjack. Mark your calendar for the special dates below and see the calendar for more information.
