Do you think all people are good inside? What if you did?
What if believing all people are good inside could transform your relationships, your family, and the world?
Beginning Sunday, January 12th, Rev. Jen Chapman will present a new sermon series based on the work of Dr. Becky Kennedy, a clinical psychologist and a popular parenting coach whose book, Good Inside, was an immediate #1 New York Times Bestseller when it came out in 2022. The book is a practical guide to raising resilient, emotionally healthy kids, but the ideas Dr. Becky promotes are not just for parents! These concepts go beyond parenting, offering a wise and important perspective on humanity that is useful for all kinds of relationships.
Each week we'll explore one of these concepts and consider how they align with the life and teachings of Jesus:
1/12 - “You are Good Inside”
1/19 - “The Most Generous Interpretation”
1/26 - “Connection is Key”
2/2 - “It’s Never Too Late for Repair”
What about the kids? We are excited to begin offering childcare on the first Sunday of this series, January 12th! Children will begin and end worship with their families. Each week we have a "Moment for the Young & Young at Heart" during which a kid-friendly, interactive lesson will be shared with all. Kids can participate by coming to the front of the sanctuary or staying with their families, whatever feels most comfortable. The children will then be invited to go to the playground (or an indoor play area in case of inclement weather) during the sermon portion of the service.
