On this fifth Sunday of Lent, we join Mary, Martha, and Lazarus for their own last supper with Jesus. Mary used burial oil to anoint Jesus’ feet, wiping it with her hair. Her actions are easy to criticize, but Jesus said to “Let her be.” What insight does this story give us on Jesus’ relationship to women? Perhaps we can even see in it an embodiment of the Divine Feminine.
Pastor Jen will preach and lead us in celebrating Holy Communion. Susan Wooton will serve as Liturgist. Elena Caruthers, Anthony Knight, and Chieko Chambers will provide this week’s Offertory. Special music will be provided by The ACC Choir, directed by Jeffrey Paul and accompanied by Tim K. Murphy.
Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
