On this Transfiguration Sunday we follow Jesus up the mountain for a moment of glorious revelation and then back down again as we prepare to enter the season of Lent. Pastor Jen will introduce our Lenten sermon series, “Under Her Wings: Jesus & The Divine Feminine,” introducing the concept of Shekhinah (which means “to dwell”), and how Shekhinah is revealed in the strange and Spirit-filled story of Jesus’ transfiguration as well as in what happens next in the gospel of Luke as Jesus and his disciples come back down the mountain.
Music Director, Jeffrey Frederic Paul, will lead the ACC Choir & Bell Choir for this Week’s Special Music & Offertory accompanied by Tim K. Murphy. Dorothy Streutker will be this Week’s Liturgist. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
