Pastor Celeste's reflection, “Living into the Promise,” comes to us from the book of Hebrews. She speaks to us about holding onto faith when it is at odds with the surrounding culture. Tim K. Murphy will bring us this week’s hymns and diverse musical selections from Valentin Sylvestrov, Ernest Chausson, & Harold Arlen. This week’s Special Music comes from soprano soloist, Susan Russell performing the African-American Spiritual, “Steal Away to Jesus.” Shanti Moorjani will provide this week’s Offertory “A Reflective Prelude” by Anatoli Liadov. Anthony Knight will light the Candles for Ukraine and read Gathering Words and scripture from Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16, New Revised Standard Version.
