In-Person/Live-Stream Worship: “Renew Our Strength: A Song of Praise is Fitting”

  • Arlington Community Church 52 Arlington Avenue Kensington, CA, 94707 United States (map)

We welcome all people to worship and prayer, and to be with us on our journeys of faith formation; join us as we experience the Divine One through Creation, Creatures, and Creativity in our world and worship.

Psalm 147 says "A song of praise is fitting," but can we sing "Hallelujah" in a time like this? This Sunday we'll consider how praising God together can renew our strength and bind us together as we hope in the steadfast love of the Lord. We'll celebrate communion, receiving the nourishment of the bread of life and cup of blessing as we remember Jesus' path of non-violence, call to service, and example of self-giving love. We welcome back our accompanist, Tim K. Murphy, after a month of leave. Tim will lead us through this week’s Hymns, as well as provide diverse music selections from Erik Satie, Valentin Sylvestrov, Albert Lasry, & Charles Trenet for this week’s Prelude, Communion Distribution, & Postlude. Music Director, Jeffrey Frederic Paul, will lead the ACC Choir & Bell Choir for this week’s Special Music & Offertory. Dudley Thompson will be this week’s liturgist & light the Prayer Candles.
