On this first Sunday of Advent we'll begin our new sermon series, "Words for the Beginning: Advent Reminders for New Seasons," with words of blessing. In Luke 1:26-38, an angel appears to Mary from Galilee with very surprising news! As Mary discovers her favor with God, we'll remember our own and consider God's declaration and invitation, "You Are A Blessing." We'll also light the first Advent candle of hope and celebrate communion.
Our Music Director, Jeffrey Paul, will lead the choir and bell choir as they provide special music for this Sunday. Tim K. Murphy will accompany the choir and play the Prelude and Postlude. We'll close out the service with a Christmas carol and a little extra singing! Rev. Jen Chapman will preach and lead the service. Caro Grosvener will be the Liturgist.
Join us following worship for fellowship and a Christmas Card Party! We're signing cards for friends of ACC. There will also be "You are a Blessing" notes available, and an ornament craft that goes with this Sunday's theme!
