Come have some creative fun.  Elena Caruthers has offered to give us a free workshop on binding little books.  These little books could be used for both personal gifts and as charitable gifts. If we can’t stop making them, we can send them to a shelter. They are a quarter the size of an 8.5 x 11” sheet measuring about 5.5”x4.25” and can be very simple or decorated.  In the workshop, we’ll start with a simple book with pamphlet stitch. There are other fancier stitches to learn as well if we have time and interest.  Supplies will be provided. 

Date: October 17th at 2pm in the Social Hall.  Please RSVP to the church office if you plan to attend, so supplies can be provided. (A second workshop will be held Nov. 14th and the community will be invited.)

What to bring?  Yourself, curiosity and enthusiasm.  If you have a piece of artwork you’d like to use to decorate the cover, bring it along - but most of the time we’ll be stitching. More decorating can be done at home.
