Community Potluck: Mennonites Beliefs, Traditions, and Lives Today

  • Arlington Community Church 52 Arlington Avenue Kensington, CA, 94707 United States (map)

Faith Formation will host a multifaceted evening event. There will of course be plenty community and fellowship time throughout the evening, beginning  with a potluck at 6:00 pm. All who come are invited to bring their favorites, stand-by’s or experiments. Only — do not bring dessert items, and here is why.

Desert is being arranged by Faith Abel as a part of the second event on the agenda. At this time there will be a special dessert to accompany the celebration and appreciation of the service rendered to the council by Sara LaFerte (six years as Secretary), and Elena Caruthers (12 years as Financial Secretary of ACC).

The final event of the evening is to be moderated by Linda Young. Reverend Joanna Shenk, Associate Pastor of the First Mennonite Church of San Francisco will be speaking with us about Mennonites, including a short history, including how colonies came to be in South America. We’ll also learn about Mennonites beliefs, traditions, and lives today.
