A reminder that our Lectio Divina series will return on ZOOM, Friday, November 19 at 4 pm. This month's scripture comes from: John 18:33-40.
Lectio Divina is a different way of looking at, and hearing, the Bible. This is not a traditional Bible Study where we would typically dissect the text to figure out its meaning. The process for Lectio Divina is to listen and imagine as the word speaks to us. This calls for reflection and imaginative engagement.
We ask three basic questions. 1) What word or phrase gets your attention? What images are invoked for you? 2) What is God saying to you? What might God be offering you? Also, reflect on what feelings arise within you as you read/hear this particular passage. 3) What is the text asking of you and how do you feel you are to respond?
There are no right or wrong answers. Only your answers and insights. Trust yourself to allow the Word to speak to you. No matter where each of us are on our journey, the Word meets us where we are.
