Contra Costa County Stay Home order for COVID-19 extended until at least May 3. ACC is complying with all government guidelines and will continue to suspend all formal gatherings until further notice.
Though we have suspended in-person gatherings, we are offering virtual worship for each Lenten service.
We offer two opportunities to connect with God on this Good Friday.First, our Northern California Nevada Conference is hosting a virtual Good Friday Chapel on April 10, from 9 AM to 4 PM. You are invited to come in as you have time throughout the day to meditate, post prayer requests in the chatroom and view meditation videos followed by music and photos on the Stations of the Cross. The video, music and photos will change twice each hour (on the hour and the half hour) to move through all 14 Stations of the Cross. Enter the chapel at any time (or multiples times) while it is open by clicking HERE.
Second, join the live stream of our Joint Service at 7 pm. The worship will feature special music, scripture, and meditations from 6 East Bay UCC Churches: Arlington Community Church, City of Refuge UCC, First Congregational Church of Alameda, First Congregational Church of Berkeley, First Congregational Church of Oakland, and The Good Table UCC (formerly Mira Vista UCC).We’d encourage folks to watch the service live on First Church Berkeley's Facebook page, where you can add comments and interact with others watching.https://www.facebook.com/FirstChurchBerkeley. You do NOT need a Facebook account to access the page; it's public. If you'd prefer, you can also find the service at Vimeo or on YouTube.
